So my car got broken into and the thieves left everything but the key lady in my life, my bookbag. It cannot exist anymore this blog, the one half of my love is gone and now all i have is my laptop. I was like what kind of sick ass only steals the thing of less value, a backpack C'mon! granted it was a polo backpack but still my CDs and stereo are worth way more. Hell even the car jack i have in the back is worth alone 80 bucks and the tools are an added 60. Dammit man they planned it good, right at finals time to cut the Achilles tendon of my academics. My bookbag was a lot to me. She carried my computer and my life.

I went to the gym today because i've reached an ideal weight that i'd like to perfect (184 lbs). imgaine 184 pounds with a 9% body fat, that would be a force to be reckoned with WOW! anyway, lol, i go to the gym and start off with a good mile run. I do it, a little tired and then decide to start lifting. I do upper body then switch back to another mile run. I get it done, but am starting to get tired. I go back to weight lifting this time arms. I then go back to a little run and finish with lower ab crunches. By this time, i'm exhausted and feel i have to puke; so i do. I run to the locker room and blow chunks in the first stall i see and i see KFC grilled chicken and potatoes jetison in a gross, heterogenous mix. it looked like the contents of my plate had not been digested.

Best part was that i saw some fly honeys at the gym prior to my reinactment of Old Faithful. I love the Downtown Phx YMCA

So i went to Gamestop today, yea....Interesting work staff believe you, me. I just went in to see what they had, i know what the eff am i doing in a videogame store, and luckily i saw a used copy of Halo 3. I remember telling good ole Sammy about the eccentric guy with whom i've had the experience of sharing two classes with. this semester's joint class is, interesting to say the least. So i've made a small collaborative group in there to study with, one cool nerdy dude (Aaron) with glasses who reminds me so much of Paul Rudd and this chick who reminds me of a fine version of Daria (you know, the pessimistic bitch cartoon from MTV). Anyway, we were talking and homeboy, eccentric guy, gets brought up. Now this cat says some of the most random sh*t during class, and does it randomly. For example, the teacher showed a video of Southwest Reptiles and it was funny because it was obvious the animal locations were staged. After the video, teacher comments to the class and homeboy, remember eccentric guy, discloses his opinion out of turn and says, " I've seen Sasquatch videos that look more real than that!"

Returning back to the begining of this post, Daria (Meagan) Aaron and myself are chilling at a bench in Social Sciences talking and she tells us how he's always staring at her, but in a very uncomfortable stare; a glare if you will. We laugh because its true but she adds "and i swear hes always looking at my boobs." I interject with a lil quip because thats how i roll and i say" he was probably thinking 'i've seen Sasquatch videos that look more real than those!'" At that point, Aaron bursts out laughing and turning red, i too begin to laugh cuz im like yes! i am that funny fellow....

The next day Aaron brings it up and is like "remember that whole Sasquatch shit?" I recall and he goes, "she had a boob job." So i laugh out loud again! Dam, and i wonder why i'm single haha!!

Overall, the summation of today was okay. I saw two good friends of mine at the same time. Its funny because i usually only see one or the other at a given time but today our little trinity was complete. It's funny because we are a diverse faction. Sammy is my African-American brother (no pun intended) Eric is my anglo accomplice and me, well i'm the hispanic/latino/chicano/etc.... of the group that can relate to both ethnic groups. Anyway, it felt like things were in balance for those small, but timeless 5 minutes. We were approached by a born again, but not fanatic, christian who simply wanted to talk to us about the time of resurrection and Eric so elloquently responds, "I have an erection." these little times of peace are what life is all about, harmony and positivity.

In addition, i talked to my old lab partner. It was dope, because its always good when you can make a girl laugh. They say the key to a woman's heart is laughter, the way things are going i'll soon prove this wives' tale.

went to 1st Fridays last night. It was ok, hung out with some family and ran into a colleague turns out he's buddies with my cousin; small world. Today i went to Superior on another field excursion. This one was very interesting because i witnessed a lot of predation in the wild. I was walking along a trail and from the ridge beside me a snake lunged out chasing after a prospective meal, a lizard. It got away so the snake slithers into the nearest hole. I just stood there in awe, and a little disgust. The next encounter i witnessed was i looked up into a tree and saw this perched bird bobbing its head up and down. I used my binoculars and determined the bird to be a female Cooper's Hawk and it was bobbing up and down because she was plucking today's meal; poor little finch. It was cool but i got grossed out when i saw her rip a huge chunk of flesh from the unfortunate song bird.

I typed in "I hate Mexicans" in google just for the hell of it and i found some pretty mean threads. Most posts describe how Mexicans are smelly, ignorant, criminals, lazy, etc etc. Some posts were even saying that Mexicans take all the jobs from good American people...no Hindus and People from the Philippines do. As milking the society and not contributing go, well i can see how some people get annoyed. Yet it seems to me that those who do complain are those that are in the top tier of our caste system. Furthermore, i see it as a trade off regarding the whole state aid programs. The hard working Latinos assume the positions most Americans find demeaning to their integrity (i.e. cleaning shit, urine, and vomit also serving burgers, washing cars, maintaining HOA standards and watching the snob-nosed kids of these affluent Anglos). With all means if one is willing to take on these responsibilities sure man go ahead.
Furthermore, what irks me is when i read the term "cockroach" when describing my heritage. Not cool, they are just as much a person as each of us; fuck that 3/5 bullshit.

I don't understand why Cubans are treated with open arms in the whole wetfoot-dryfoot policy oh that's right its because they are enduring communist Cuba; from what i've read or seen, its not that bad. Also, if you're Spanish its like owning a suit of gold, they love you; same thing with most other Latinos, well Anglo-Latinos i mean if its Afro-Latino the individual/s is/are screwed too.

Lets see. Today i had to do some field work photographing advertisements in residential areas (i.e. billboards soliciting beer and food) around 15th avenue and southern to 19th avenue and broadway; the hood. I had two female colleagues with me which was tight and i am familiar with south phoenix having close-ties to her. We finish around 12 and i head home and get a flat tire and I'm talking pancake flat. So im cruising down 48th with my hazards on thwomping about just trying to get home.

I make it home and take off the tire but find out that my spare is too damn big for my roter--Shit! So i just let my car chill in the drive-way and i go inside to peel an orange because they look good and i cut my thumb with the peeler.

Still, on a light note, i had a pretty fly white chick riding shotgun yezzir!

i think that universal healthcare is something the U.S. should adopt. Why not every other ideology we have is borrowed *ahem* Democracy is Greek. The only ones who hurt from disbanding private healthcare would be republicans, well any politician benefiting from pharm/healthcare lobbyists, and majority shareholders....republicans. Countries who do have this system implanted already show trends of longer-living citizens and increased productivity because the citizens dont have to worry about being kicked out of an ER cuz their HMO wont cover the expense. Hell, even "evil" Cuba has universal healthcare and the detainees at Guantamo Bay get better treatment than me. money really is the root of all evil, it has more voice than a person...here at least.

I remember my brother first moved out when he turned 18. I was sad being that i was 14 and practically grown up sharing a room with him so of course the change was going to have some adverse changes on me. I got over it and he came back 2 years later this time, i having grown up, let him keep the room and i bunked in the living room for the next 3 years. He moved out again and i got my room back for good. Now however, my sister has left home and its just weird knowing there's a vacancy in the next room over. Its interesting being the youngest of your siblings because no matter what your older siblings do, you feel the changes the most.

Today was my dear friend's birthday, she is like a beloved sister to me. Possibly, she is the reincarnation of the miscarriage my mother endured but that's just my mind going off on tangent. Anyway, it was a pretty fun celebration I got to see some friends whom i haven't physcially communicated with in a while*pause*

My food was the bomb! Spider Rolls ( crab, rice and cream cheese along with veggies) and Las Vegas Rolls (tuna, yellow tail, salmon, and crab) all delicious yezzir. Except the bill....yea. 32 bux just for me *Scottsdale*

Man, tonight was an ordeal. I helped my pops salvage an antique mahogany cabinet from the 1940s and it was a real nuisance holmes. We started at 7:00 p.m. and just finished. The hinges on the cabinet doors would not align....BIG STRESS.

Point is we're done and it looks nice, if i have to move it out tho Imma go Chris Brown on somebody.

Before the 10th is over, I just want to mention that Jay Dilla passed away today from a rare form of lupus. He was quintessential Hip-Hop and his presence is missed and in some ways needed. Dilla brought that fresh jive to the music incorporating Jazz, Classic Rock, old radio commercials, etc...whatever made the music vivid. He was a true lover of his trait and if you dont know Dilla beats, rather music, familiarize yourself.

Today was an ok day. I was in the lab working and if i were to critique my performance thus far as a researcher id give myself a B-. Its my first time actually working in a lab other than classtime so yea its expected that things go with minimal error, but i'm still a rookie. So anyway im at my scope messing with some ants then my supervisor comes up to me and is like "hey Jando, me and a few guys from the lab are going to the vine for beers around 7:30-ish, wanna go?" I just smiled and laughed cuz i'm still a youngin and i was like i'm not 21 but thanks for the invite.

The point is i was regarded as a regular peer amongst post docs and grad students in a highly difficult field. Your boy Jandito got RESPECT

so i was at the Y, the dope one in downtown phoenix right next to ASU Downtown/ Nursing building, workin triceps and back. It was a good workout and as i'm leaving the weight room i take notice of this really fly chick. I remembered her from my Statisitics class i took at the downtown campus and let me tell you baby she was looking *insert word choice for awe*. I was like wow, she looks *insert word choice for awe* and she looks over my way as though she remembered my face. I freeze up and go to the complete opposite side of the weight room to do some lower ab workouts; i failed. I FROZE like an OtterPop in Juneau. Why did that happen, i lost my game-- i need a redemption "run-in" with her.

Oh yea, i changed my profile pic because i thought it was time for a change. The history behind the old one was a fun day. If you ever took note of it, it showed me rockin a neckbrace; how? Well, this was during the first season of dance crew with the Jabberwockeez. Well, i wanted to show my sis that i could do some B-boy ish and i was like peep this turtle freeze....bad idea!

Damn, its raining-- a lot. To add to this, my window stops rolling up about 2/3 from the seal. I need a new ride, my ish has become pretty hood:

1. antenna was stolen the day after i got it.
2. rear speakers don't work so only the driver's region works.
3. A/C adapters don't work so i cant charge my phone.
4. Break lights are out except for the center and when i turn on my lights.
5. only hi-beams work. Lo-beams are out -of-order.
6. middle passenger seat belt doesn't work.
7. needs an alignment.
8. needs some engine work.

So tomorrow i have to be at the zoo by 7:30 a.m. in the rain, in my hoopty yay!!!

4 years ago i was 16 and i remember sitting in my anatomy my class at 7:50 hearing my friend saying "4 more years of darkness." What was interesting was that our instructor had the gall to say she was happy with the turnout. This year, we dont have to look forward to 4 more years of darkness because as of today, in my opinion, Senator Barack Hussein Obama will win the electoral college. I think McCain really sunk his ship when he referred to Senator Obama as "that one" and when he promised a Joe the Plumber to be at the Defiance, Ohio rally and had a no show:

“Joe’s with us today. Joe, where are you?” McCain called the into the crowd, “Where’s Joe? Is Joe here with us today? Joe, I thought you were here today (pause) All right, well, you’re all Joe the plumber, so all of you stand up and say – I thank you.”

Even though McCain agreeing 98% of the time with Bush Jr. has been brought up numerous times, it is still the main driving force of why he should not be elected the president. 4 more years of $10 Billion monthly war debts, 4 more years of tax breaks for the higher SES, it needs to stop.

With November 4th quickly approaching, I've become a little apprehensive in the next presidency. Let it be known that i am a huge advocate for the Obama/Biden campaign, but I'm afraid for them. Lets look at the history of America and how it treats GOOD people:

I'm back...made it home to my first love, Phoenix. It truly is amazing how the human soul never acknowledges and appreciates what is present in front of them while they have it. I now fully understand it. It feels like paradise being home from a 4 day trip with some old friends. Bless them in that they find a sense of fulfillment in what they do but i no longer hold any common bonds with them, only a history of friendship, i guess I've grown spiritually and mentally.

So tomorrow i leave to pinetop for the weekend. To be perfectly honest, i don't want to go anymore; actually not at all. I'm only going because i put down a deposit of $100 a couple months back and by the time i lost interest of going it was too late for a refund. I guess its because I've grown distant from those accompanying. It's like they are stuck in the past doing the same things that I've found to be immature and essentially a waste of time. What I'm saying is you don't need booze to have a good time, to them you do. I pray that i can survive this weekend. Four days with them is going to be a test. I read a pretty interesting article today about the plethora of 24-hr Mexican taco shops valleywide. If you've ever noticed anything about them, you would recognize a defining characteristic about them...They all end with the suffix -berto's
Think about it, Los bertos, Filibertos, Polibertos, Bertos. More important to note off of this is the actual suffix -tos: Ritos etc...

Sunday we went to go see the America's Best Dance Crew at the Dodge Theater. It was pretty dope and it was free!! (big ups to my cuzzo C Veezy)However, i felt pretty old in the building. I swear the median age was about 17 and not only that, as i was watching i was like really? I thought this was the ish a couple months ago, now its like oh that was cool damn its already 9:00 p.m. i gotta go home and do work. Plus, i'm not knocking them cuz they're true artists at what they do, the JabbaWockeez' routine got boring really fast.
